At Balletto Vineyards, we don't let anything go to waste. Vineyards are a labor of love, and we take our work seriously. More than just rows of grapevines - the land is part of a rich natural ecosystem that we strive to protect. Pouring a glass of wine isn't just about the taste - it's about the environment in which the grapes grow.

We believe in taking care of the Earth all year ‘round. We’ve taken many steps to help ensure that generations to come have a future.

Our winery runs entirely on the power of the sun. That’s right - solar powered wine! 60,000 square feet of panels to be exact. Plus, we've got electric car charging stations for those eco-friendly road trippers.

By recycling and re-using all the water used in wine production for irrigation and frost protection, our winery ensures that precious resources are conserved.

At Balletto, we don't let anything go to waste - especially not our grape pomace. We take those leftover bits and pieces from the winemaking process and give them new life as compost. come springtime, we till that goodness back into our vineyard soil, nourishing our grapes and ensuring some seriously positive microbiological activity in the dirt. Who knew grape leftovers could be so darn useful?

Let's spill the tea on how we keep our vineyards hydrated! We don't just rely on guesswork, we use high-tech soil moisture probes to get the real dirt on our vines. Depending on the soil type, we strategically place probes at different depths to get accurate readings. This way, we can customize our drip irrigation to each vineyard's specific thirst quenching needs. No watering unnecessarily, just moisture on demand.
