Look no further than our 2nd Annual Baseball Game in the Vineyards! Step back in time with the Bay Area Vintage Base Ball League. With authentic costumes, full character performances, and a double header ball game all amidst the beauty of Sonoma County Wine Country. 1886 rules, equipment & etiquette.
With gates opening at 10:30 AM, guests will have a full day to enjoy the winery estate property featuring locally curated hot dogs and smashburgers, award winning wine, baseball gear and entertainment all while soaking up the stunning backdrop of the truly one-of-a-kind baseball diamond. Let's play ball!

ABOUT THE DREAM FIELD
Nestled among the wine grapes on the Balletto Vineyards winery site is a four acre surprise...a regulation sized baseball field. Founder, John Balletto's hardworking vineyard staff approached him and asked if he would sponsor their league baseball team. In true John Balletto fashion, he went above and beyond. Over twenty years ago, the Balletto family set four acres of land aside and donated the materials while the vineyard crew donated the labor. Everyone feels a sense of ownership and pride. We built it, they will come. If you stop by the winery on Sundays in the spring and summer you will hear the sounds of bats cracking, children laughing and the occasional cheers.

ABOUT THE BAY AREA VINTAGE BASE BALL LEAGUE
BAVBB plays by the rules of the Spalding 1886 rulebook and strives for historical accuracy. They are a California non-profit organization which has registered itself as an educational entity, and are always looking for ways to inform the public about the great history of baseball. Each team is outfitted in reproduction uniforms from the 1880's, and the equipment consists of reproduction balls, gloves, bases etc that are made to look, feel, and perform as they did when the game was still home-grown. - LINK HERE
